Just a quick heads-up to let you know that Mark Wilkinson is auctioning
4 original paintings:

MARK WILKINSON AUCTION OF ORIGINAL PAINTINGS

Four original paintings offered for sale by auction. There will be a
reserve price on each at the discretion of Mark. The auction takes place
over the month of October and the final
time at which a bid can be made is Tueday October 31 at 12:00pm.
Best Of Both Worlds - 1997 - 17.5" square (444mm square)
Airbrushed acrylic ink on white line paper, mounted on board backing.
Commissioned by EMI Records for the cover of a Marilion 'Best Of'
collection.
This painting took the jester and the boy...the two dominant images of
Marillion's cover art during their early years with Fish.

Syd Barrett - 2004 - 26"high x 18"width (660mm high x 457mm width)
Acrylic paint and airbrushed acrylic ink on canvas
Commissioned by Voiceprint and John Edginton...the producer of the
documentary on Syd Barrett, used for the DVD cover.
The painting was intended to be a celebratory image of Syd during those
early years of his life when his ideas created the first incarnation of
Pink Floyd and together with his solo work influenced countless others
over the years since.

Lepidoptera - 2004 - 37.75 x 19.5 (495mm high x 958mm width)
Acrylic paint and airbrushed acrylic ink on canvas framed in a 1" width
x 2" depth black ash frame
Commissioned by the band RAK from Switzerland for their first album cover.
The painting reflects the twin themes of rebirth and transformation,
using the Monarch butterfly as an allegory for the inner map changes of
a girl.

MSH - 2006 - 30" square
Acrylic paint and airbrushed acrylic ink on canvas, mounted over wooden
stretcher bars.
Painted this year, partly during the weeks leading up to Fish's fanclub
convention in Haddington and finished off 'live' in front of a live
audience there.
