thanks for great night in Hell! the playlist follows... Lady bathory was ill
and couldn't make it, but she's feeling better and was able to play new wave
night saturday night. :)
i enjoyed the 'Oddities' exhibit, and it was great to see so many friends
who came a long way to party with the boston tribe! many thanks to Cusraque
for bringing us all together!

many portions of the RAVE ( Reducing Americans' Vulnerability to Ecstasy)
act were added to and passed by congress with the 'AMBER ALERT' bill (or
PROTECT act, which is legislation regarding child abductions, molestation,
and pornography), as the 'Illicit Drug Anti-Proliferation Act'. it is soon
expected to be signed into law by the president. if you are a clubgoer or
enjoy music events of _any_ genre, this affects you. the term 'rave' has
been removed from the bill, but unfortunately the bill will hold venue
owners and event promoters, performers, and sponsers criminally responsible
for any drug related activities conducted by the patrons of public events.
these events include concerts, theatres, benefits, parties, and club nights
(including Hell, Ceremony, and Haven) - not just 'raves' - and also restrict
your freedom in your own home.
i encourage you to seek further information about this legislation. the text
of the bill can be found here : http://www.emdef.org/, and a good summation
of the modified 'rave act' portion can be found here :

plenty of other information available, from many perspectives.
i anticipate that you will find this to be unfair legislation whether or not
you approve of 'illicit substance' use. such legislation takes away the
rights of any patron to enjoy public entertainment, as events will be shut
down, venues will close to avoid fines, and promoters and performers will be
fined and jailed. it may also be used as the gateway to further
restrictions.
it is resonable to expect that there will be an attempt to repeal this
portion of the legislation, as it has no bearing on the original intent of
the 'AMBER ALERT' bill. i encourage you to stay informed of such matters and
act in the best interest of fair legislation, whatever you decide that to
be.
