I've uploaded a new release of ywSynch.
This fixes a problem that can occur on PCs that create Unicode files. It's possible on these for yWriter to create a yw5 file with a header claiming the encoding is utf-8, rather than utf-16. The method I was using to read the yw5 file was extremely picky about this information being correct, and these files were causing an error. I've changed how it reads the files so that it can cope.
