Chainging Line Spacing

It would be a good feature to be able to change the line spacing in scenes. I have one scene where the lines are double-spaced but the rest of the scenes aren't. For submissions and manuscript format I believe double-spacing is preferred. I don't see a way to either change this globally or in scene.

There is a way to change the line spacing but of I remember it is hard to find. I think it's under keyboard shortcuts.

In the scene editor, Help>>Keyboard Shortcuts.  Ctrl-1 - Single Spaced, Ctrl-2 - Double Spaced, Ctrl-5 - 1.5 Spaced.

OK Now that I've tried this it looks like although in the Scene Editor the lines LOOK double-spaced when it's time for print-out they're still single spaced!

I only print from the program for reading and light editing purposes. You export your project to a word processing program to print out double spaced copy to edit, give to critique partners or send as an electronic file to your editor.

The only way I've found to preserve double line spacing in yWriter, if that's what's really wanted, is to change the spacing of the RTF document in a word processor. When you save it the spacing is preserved. However, as Marsh points out, it's really a bit pointless as you would need to transfer all your scenes and Chapters to a WP document to print or forward on.

As been mentioned before you can change the line spacing to double by
hitting CTRL-2. This preserves it within yWriter and when it's exported.

It doesn't preserve it for direct printing as there is no easy way to
double space an HTML document as plain old HTML doesn't allow for line
spacing. It can be done but would require style elements to be added
which aren't always interpreted the same way in different browsers. This
isn't as much of a problem these days as most current browsers are
pretty good at following standards but there are still some gotchas.

I can't tell you how many times I've worked hard to get a web page to
look just right only to have someone using a different browser tell me
the spacing was off.
