Hi I read recent conversations on this topic but those are from January and till now no update is done to fix this? My default windows theme is dark, software starts in white theme. I went in Tools>Edit color scheme>Selected dark, hit apply, it didn't work, I clicked on load before hitting apply, didn't work, i loaded-refreshed and applied, it didn't work, i pressed all relevant buttons in all combinations and i can't apply dark theme, my eyes hurt :''D

This works for me:

  1. Open the C:\Program files(x86)\yWriter\Themes folder in Windows Explorer.
  2. Copy the Dark.SJTheme file to the AppData\Roaming\Spacejock Software\yWriter7\Themes folder in your user profile. if you don't know how to access your user profile, look at this
  3. Start yWriter and open the Colour scheme dialog. In the drop down menu, select the Dark scheme and "Load". Then push "Apply".

This screenshot shows the file to copy:

Good luck,

Thank you for this solution!

Btw it would be great if the themes folder could be set by the user. I use yWriter on more than one computers and keep my files in dropbox. In my case I would keep the themes in dropbox too, so that I wouldn`t have to manually copy the sjtheme files between pcs.

Thanks
Orhan
