Change the order of scenes

I'm doing a quick evaluation of yWriter. So far it seems a good match to my need for a story outliner rather than a medium for creating text. A few questions:
  1. is it possible to reorder scenes? I have been able to achieve this so far with cut and paste (with pasting selected only after highlighting the scene before which the pasted scene will appear). But is there a drag-and-drop way of doing this?
  2. is there a Scene view for the left hand pane that would be the equivalent of the Chapter pane?
  3. is it possible to show the scenes within chapters within the left hand chapter pane say as a subset or indent list of the chapters themselves?
  4. is it possible to change the order of column heading in the scene view so that the scene title appears first?
Thanks in advance,
Ric

Recently there have been some updates with bug fixes for the user interactions. With version 7.1.5.2, scenes can be moved with the mouse without any problems. Moving the scene list  columns used to work with version 7.1.3, but no longer. This is probably a new bug.

You mean a tree view? No, that is not the concept of yWriter. The left hand pane is for chapters, and the right hand pane is for scenes within the selected chapters.

If that's not for you and you don't need the write function anyway, there are free alternatives that you may already be aware of:
I can recommend FreeMind as a quick and easy-to-use outliner.
For comprehensive planning with metadata, storylines and world building, you might want to take a look at oStorybook.

You can drag-drop scenes within their list.

I decided against a tree view long ago. The control is nowhere near as flexible as the list view as it only allows 1 label (e.g. chapter title) and none of the other info you get with a list.
