I use Tools -> Backups -> View Autobackups from time to time when I want to revert to a previous wording that I can't quite remember.  When I click on the date, it highlights and lists all of the scene backups from that day.  When I click on one of those scenes, it highlights that scene and displays the contents.

My issue is, that it stops highlighting the date when it highlights a scene.  When I'm going back looking for specific wording without knowing which day I changed it, I sometimes forget to note the date before clicking on the scene.  It's annoying that there is no visual indicator of what day I was viewing.

So, would it be possible to not completely remove the date highlighting when I select a scene?  There is a column labeled date, but it only shows the time.  Each filename also has a timestamp in it, but not the date.

Yep I think it's just a simple toggle setting in the IDE (not to lose the highlight on loss of focus).  I'll check and see.

Turns out it was already set.

Ah, I see the issue. It's highlighted on my screen, but a very pale grey:

If you're using a theme, see if you can change the inactive highlight colour

I went to Tools -> Edit Color Scheme, but I don't see that setting.  I'm using yWriterTheme, but switching themes didn't change the options I can set.

I tried changing "List - Selected Row Background (Unfocused)" but it didn't work.  It changed the highlight color of chapters when I select a scene in the main window, but it didn't change the backup window.  Even blowing up a screenshot, I can't see any highlighting on the date once I select a scene.

FYI - yWriter7 version 7.1.7.1

In that case it's possible I changed the setting recently, although I don't remember doing so.

I've just finished a 165,000 word novel in the bleeding edge version without any dramas, but now I'm 25k into the next one. I'll upload the current version again soon.
