How can I do spell check and correction?

I installed the dictionary and the Check now in the menu, but I don't
see a way to let yWriter correct spelling mistakes. Is this possible
to do?

It checks them and highlights them.
You need to:
1. Double click the word and right click to check it against the online dictionary.
2. Either fix it manually, or if it is n the online dictionary, right click again and add it to the custom dictionary.

yWriter only checks spelling, it doesn't make corrections. I use WordWeb
for that (http://wordweb.info/). It's a separate application that lives in
your system tray and provides dictionary and thesaurus lookups and word
substitutions for almost any Windows application. I even use it with MS
Word, rather than Word's built-in lookups, since its function is much
richer. Simon has been asked many times about providing spelling correction
functionality in yWriter, in addition to the spell checking, but that's one
of the suggestions he's resisted. In my opinion, applications like WordWeb
are a better option, anyway.
