So, I saw the new option and tried it out.

Is it customizable? (Margin bell, ding on carriage return etc.) How
about a volume control?

Ok, Ok, I just finished my 2nd edit of my 160k book and was in a
pretty silly mood.

I built the wav sounds into the program/resource file, so I don't think you can change them at this stage.

I was afraid that would be the case.

No sound for backspace, but shift makes a sound (and rapidly repeats
as I linger on it). And for authenticity, paste might add rapid
typing for each character (my mother had a memory typewriter).

If shift makes any sound, it would be a non-repeating thunk.

Shift is fixed in the latest beta. (VB detects Shift twice, which is why it didn't work properly. I filtered out one but not the other.)

Pasting would just create a continuous blur of sound - not really much use.

updating to the new beta version typ sounds only work on a few keys.

It won't work if shift, ctrl or alt are held down, and it won't make a noise moving the cursor around.

Should only work on typing actual letters and numbers, Del & Backspace (I think), Enter, Space and some punctation.
