The next alpha of yWriter has completely rewritten markup-to-rtf and rtf-to-markup routines. These are used to transfer scene text from the project file into the editor window, and then from the editor window back to the project.
Naturally they're a critical part of the program.
In the past, there have been some glitches with font names showing in the text, centering and right-justification getting lost, and so on. Those issues should now be fixed.
I've tested the new code on my ywriter test project which has character sets from all over the world, and it's working flawlessly.
The reason for this email is just to let people know that it's always worth taking a backup of your project before using an alpha, just in case.
It's not ready for release yet, as I'm too busy writing my latest novel to offer customer support and fix and issues that might crop up.
Cheers
Simon
