I tried to find a solution to this, but to no avail. Maybe someone can
help me. When I am writing anything within yWriter, and I press tab,
the focus will shift to the buttons and whatnot. I would love if I
could use the tab key to begin my paragraphs with a few spaces. I've
always written this way and it is very frustrating that I cannot tab
like in normal text editors. I have resorted to typing in Microsoft
Word and simply copying my work into yWriter, but this is tedious and
slow.

Thanks for reading,

Ted

There's a setting where the tabs (spacing, perhaps its called) are automatically set up. You can change them to whatever you like - I increased it a lot. Don't have it all in front of me so you'll have to go looking. Sorry.

I found it frustrating for a while (kept hitting Tab too), but got used to them automatically being there as soon as I hit Enter.

If I understand your problem, I think you can solve it easily.
From within the 'Scene Editor', click on settings, and then
click on the 'allow tab within editor' option.

Good Luck.

I think you're referring to clicking Settings while in the scene editor and
then selecting Set Paragraph Indent, which is directly above the Allow TAB
in editor window option that has already been mentioned.
