Hi Simon (or anyone else)

I do a lot of editing when I am writing and find the Scene Status section really useful, but ...

1  Is there any way to change their titles to fit the editing style I am undertaking?

2 Is there any way I can add a few more?

Yes, there is. You can use your own language file to change the wording of the user interface. I assume you just need to provide “translations” for the status labels.

The location is "C:\Program Files (x86)\yWriter7\Languages" 

There is an example file named "Sermon5.txt" where the wording of the project structure is adapted to the Bible. To see how this works, just set the language to "Sermon5". 

Then create your own "UI language" file: 

Make sure you have got admin rights on your computer, the go to Localise > Create Template.txt file.

I don't think so. There may be a fixed set of statuses (enumeration)  in the program.

Just for fun, I've created a translation file for you named Customized.txt, in which I've "renamed" the status labels by prefixing them with "My ", such as "My Outline" etc.. The file is appended to this post. You can easily customize it to your liking and save it in the languages folder C:\Program Files (x86)\yWriter7\Languages. 

The next time you launch yWriter, go to Localise > Choose Language and select Customized user interface.

Re expanding the number of items, the way I used to do it is get everything to the final stage then reset them all back to 1 again for the next pass.

Hi Peter. I have looked in the language file and can't find a Customize User Interface option. It's this only created once I've done the other steps because I haven't done those yet?
