Hi Simon,

Remember when I said yWriter 7 wasn’t twitching as if being dragged or resized on my Windows 11 computer?

It is.

Not sure if it’s a video driver problem at my end, since no other program seems to have this problem.  From what I can see, my drivers are okay and compatible with Win 11, but who really knows?

Just letting you know in case someone else reports this problem.

Henry

Currently in compatibility  for me as far as windows 11. I don't have the right specs for that particular update. Which is weird, you'd think they'd adapt that.

yWriter is a standard Winforms app, written and compiled using Microsoft's own programming language. No special libraries or other tricks.

It does use the Dotnet 4.8 runtimes, which should be included with Windows 11 (otherwise it wouldn't run at all)

I once had a similar experience with an application I developed after a version upgrade. it turned out to be related to the window paint events. I have overridden the window (and some component) paint events and after the update there were some issues. If I am not mistaken you have mentioned doing some similar things for the theme system. maybe it is related.

have a nice day!

@Simon I may have misspoken. By which I sincerely apologize for. I meant Windows 11 upgrade is incompatible at the moment. Something to do with AMD not the right version.. Soo I am still on lil ole 10.

That's okay, I have 4 Windows 10 PCs and none of them are compatible with Win 11 for 'reasons'. (Reasons being I'm not replacing the hardware, which works perfectly well.)

Win 10 still has 5 years of life on it anyway.

Could be that - I did override the windows control to get the new Undo code in.
