I have run across a few hyphenated terms where one or more of the component words are not valid alone.  The most recent is mani-pedis.  I tried selecting it and adding it to the custom dictionary, but it continues to be flagged by spell check.  I don't want to add the individual components, so is there anything I can do?

Bumping this, as I still haven't found a solution.

I've just uploaded a new alpha which no longer strips '-' as punctuation when adding words to the custom dictionary. (Previously it replaced it with a space)

Thanks!  I'll try to test out the new alpha on Monday.

My first upload had an issue where all hyphenated pairs not in the custom dictionary would be marked in red, but I've tinkered with the spell check so that issue is fixed in the newer alpha. (It splits hyphenated words if they're not recognised, then checks the component parts individually.)

I haven't had a chance to test it yet, but I had a quick question.  Will I be able to add things like "pre-" once, or will I have to add each variation, such as "pre-cancer"?

I haven't tried that, but if you add 'pre' then 'pre-' should also work

I forgot to come back and say, "Thank you!" but I really appreciate this change.  I used it twice today, which reminded me…
