Hi and Happy Summer!

Yes, it's still summer out here in southern Arizona, with cool nights in the mid- 50s and days in the upper 80s -- perfect weather.  I've been building up a few things to pass along about writing stuff, and to that I'll add some Random Bits O'Stuff at the end, just because... well, just because.

The News Section:

First and foremost, after a long time of self-imposed abstinence, I have a new agent.  This of course makes me feel all recharged and revved up, so I'm pounding along on my big novel project, HIGHBORN.  Keep an eye on the LJ for word count/progress reports.

Right now, at this VERY MOMENT, I have a story called "Revelation" up at Horror World (http://www.horrorworld.org/fiction.htm).  It'll be there only through the end of the month, so get yourself an iced tea and a small bag of chips and zip on over.  It's not too long, and it's a tale that will take you back to down home superstitions and a woman's struggle to change her destiny.

Look for my story, "Last Storm of the Season," in the erotic Lovestrology anthology.  Lovestrology is scheduled to be released January 1st on the Ravenous Romance website (http://ravenousromance.com/).

I'm excited to announce that Bad Moon Books (http://www.badmoonbooks.com) is bringing back FINAL IMPACT and RED SHADOWS.  Each book will come out in limited edition hardcover in 2010 (one early, one mid-year), and each will have a brand new story in that book's universe to go with it.  Then, in late 2010, Bad Moon Books will release a very limited lettered edition of *both* books, this time with a "bridge" story, one that takes place somewhere between the end of FINAL IMPACT and the beginning of RED SHADOWS.  More info on that as we go along.

Upcoming travel is light right now, but come see me at TusCon, November 7-9, 2008, in Tucson, Arizona.

I'll also be at the Tucson Festival of Books - March 14-15, 2009.  You can catch me specifically on a writers' panel discussion at 11:30 a.m. on the 14th with Weston Ochse and Jennifer Roberson.

Okay, that covers it.  The family is good, the house needs repairs (don't they always), the job is the there every Monday (thank goodness!), and the Great Danes and the bird are all just peachy.
