Vanuatu is in a stage where old systems and methods of thinking do not work anymore. The people of Vanautu are asking BIG SERIOUS questions like:

1.  Why isn't there better quality students in universites? We now have more mobile phones and internet connections in the islands. Shouldn't these tools cut down the barriers to learning, and therefore help teachers in the islands to improve their students education? What went wrong?
2. If our economy is doing so well, why are our people in the islands suffering more. If our economy is the best model in the Pacific, why are foods 2 times more expensive in the islands than in Vila? It seems like life in the islands is more expensive and troublesome than in towns. Why? If we are doing well, why does it seem that people in rural areas are suffering more than 10 years ago when our country was said to be still struggling economicly? What went wrong?
• If our economy is good, shouldn't there be more people in the islands becoming richer and improving in their standard of living? Where has the money gone to. Answer: Ol white Man nomo we oli salem groan lo olgeta bakagen. Money i never reachim ol grass roots. Who will come up with a well research paper showing a model that can solve these issues? People say the government, some say NGO's but these two groups have been there for a very long time, but still have not come up with new ansers and new techniques to tackle these problems. People have tried going into Politics as a way to help bring solutions but so far, nothing has worked. Who can do it?

YES WE CAN!  Y-VISION can. If we continue to build our capabilities slowly: Law, Management, Banking, Real-Estate, Information Systems, Economics and others, we will be the group that policy makers will turn to for solutions. In a few years time when we are very strong because of our value systems we will be the ones to write policies that will help improve the lives of our people. By that time Y-Vision will be known as the team of a few strong head boys that put their hands up when they were still young and God picked to be the ones to lead the nation when ol olfala sysem inomo work. We can achieve this because God has the solutions and but is waiting only for yumi ol boy blo yumi develop slo slo mo listen gud. No worry lo ol nara man lo ol bigfala position yia. I good blo harem about wanem we i stap happen lo vanuatu. And am very greatfull that we are now in one stage, in a sense that we all know what is happening in vila as well as those in vila knows what is happening here in Laucala.

 I see that we now came to a stage where olgeta lo vila oli luk wanem we yumi luk. we all see a destination  that has a  bright futrue for Y- vision and vanuatu as a whole.  Mi very appriciatem that part.yumi stat blo look save rod , which is very encouraging. 

 

 we all have seen the same picture, and have come to the same  conclusion; to better go slow and take into consideration our personal process and development. In that,  our values and priciples wont be violated one day when we become leaders. I mean when we are being recognised. so our individual process is very crucial in the building of Y- vision.

 

Something we France i tallem hemi very true, Sum mo mike tu, tufala i sapotem.

 

 Before we dont realize things that are around us. We are being blinded to see things that are very crucial for the development of vanuatu and for our selves. But when we raise ourselves from our forma menatlity, we began to see things from a different paradyme, from  different lenses, from a different view, that makes us very different from others. That is who we are, and just becouse we got our sight staight from God. So slowly we build on our process and follow the right principles and values.
Remember that your personal development and my development adds up to the development of the whole team and offcourse Y- vision. So in one we build the unity.

Another issue is to identify the Core Team of Vanuatu. Koko identified some main people in his last email. I am assuming that he is identifying those buys as the Core Y-V team from Vila. The boys he mentioned are:

1. Koko
2. Joe
3. Ruben
4. Roan
5. Chris

 After clearing this up. We will start to think of how to integrate and connenct them directly to our discussions, so that there would be no need for Mike and David to act as a middle person where they have to email them and then they cut and paste to forward to us. We should discuss this.

 

Throw us your thoughts guys. Is this the correct next step for us to take?

Hi team.

Thank you Mike for your  question.

I think there must be a miss understanding on the article that was currently  discussed

 The article that i posted in the forum was an email that was sent by Rueben to all Y-vision members that were present in the fundraising.Some how i was also included in their contact list. 

But the reason of posting that email article was just to get us all up dated on our first fundraising. I think there has been some information earler on about the fundraising and the information that we recieved, was incorrect about the amount that was raised. Thats why when i see the email detailing everything from the fundraising night, i felt that its better to share the email with the core team. In other words am saying our first update on the amount of money raised was incorrect( which is 2300vt) as some of us may have known.

 Another intention of sharing the email, was the idea of Transparency. I havent seek any permission with the team in vila.Despite that, i just feel that it would be right for all of us to know about it since we are in the same boat. It would be much better for them to update us on that, through email or forum so that everyone knows what is happening. Or one suggestion is that our head or the middle person  should make sure that every information that we recieved has to be accurate, correct and meaningfull, so that there wont be any misunderstanding and confusion. This is concerning the first information that we recieved.

 Well there is no reason for  us to argue about the email, but to see behind the the information that we gathered. With that, i thank you Mike and Trazac about your comment on the leftover kava that was wasted. 

What i could capture from that, is  about the  low level of relationship,communication and planning.  If everyone has a good relationship, they would know about their friends, weather he drinks alot of kava, drinks kava only in a few times or does not drink kava at all. Then they would come out with a good estimation of how many liters of kava they would need to sustain those who drink kava. This also comes with the level of communication. Ol getta we oli responsible lo kava must have assumed that there will be alot of people who can drinks alot of kava will also come for the fundraising night, especially their friends whom they know fews months or years ago. But oli no mekem effort  blo finem out weather oli still drink kava or no. some oli might stop blo drink kava finis, or just that oli no might blo mekem lo time blo fundraising from oli gat other important commitments. Wetem assumption that ol frens blo olgeta we oli save drink kava, bai oli kam, oli tend blo mekem huge  amount of kava. But at the end of it, the assumtion turns out to be opposite.

If only they have a good relationship and communication, their planning would have been accurate. Thats what is see.
