Thank you Fred and Maria for visiting one of the 7 wonders of Yes We Can World - hope this is the start of connecting lots of community vital stuff

I have heard the founder of Jamii Bora mention that she is tired of business school researchers coming and asking questions which are the opposite way round from how all how heroic staff and members network. I have heard the same sort of comment in every grassroots network of ending poverty that I happen to trust most.

I think it is true to say that George Bush's Empire  -and other G8 leaders of this millennium so far - funded exactly the opposite sort of research than Barack Obama wants to see yes we can students debate. Under former regime, I have had personal experience of making a presentation at harvard and being told you may be correct but nobody in academia would ever get funds to research what you are asking about.

If Jamii Bora has ever been visited by overseas students etc who have produced something on the web or in writing that Jamii Bora actually likes I hope you and they will be able to tell us where that is.

We are trying to collect other way round case studies all in one space so that at least worldwide student classes of 2009 on can know they have the choice of 2 wholly opposite theory systems of how the economy of the workd needs to spin

Hi all,
This is so wonderfull to let you know that today me and maria have visted Jami
Bora Trust A very good micro credit project which is following the Yunusu
Muhamed PRICIPLES.

Indeed what they are doing is so inspiring , we saw that they are helping lots
of people and they dont have any selection of who you are
from their experience they have managed to go a step ahead of introducing
housing finance were they give housing on loans, they have health insurance and
they have managed to improve the lifes of women in Kenya through giving them
loans starting with 100$

the system they use is quite inspiring where by they are giving loan to group
of people were you must be having agroup in order to get a loan and this acts as
a security unlike other microfinaces like the ones in Uganda who intends to make
the people poor.

Greetings From Maria and Fred In Nairobi
