ISF (Computer Scientists without Frontiers, Italy -
http://informaticisenzafrontiere.org/viewen.php?id=9
) is trying to find sponsors to cover expenses or missing materials for
a new computer science department in Congo with the aim to help
“training the future trainers” in that region. We have already found
computers and equipments for satellite broadband but we still lack 2
videoprojectors and money for annual internet fees and solar panel to
be bought onsite: can anybody help ISF to support this project?
Thanks in advance and in case please
mailto:intern...@informaticisenzafrontiere.org
and I will be keen to put you through Antonio who is onsite ISF project
manager directly working in Congo and installing network and executing
project tasks there (he summarizes project hereinafter).

Aldo (ISF volunteer)
Dear Aldo,
The project 'very simple:
Implementation of a new Department of Telematics in the University
of Masi-Manimba DRC where people “used to study computers sciences
without having a computer”! We need giving them a Laboratory of
Telematics.
The creation and education will be carried out by volunteers.
Equipment required for the implementation of the Laboratory:
Laptop n.30 (supplied by Roche)
N.2 video (about € 1200.00)
N.1 satellite connection (cost: € 2000.00 + € 1750.00 annual fee for the connection)
N.3 kit for total solar power 3KW payable (Approx € 18,000.00)
We currently have confirmation of delivery of 30 laptop by Roche.
I enclose two photos of current “blackboards” that I found in their classrooms:
