Fun with Google App Engine and Google Apps

Just how cheap can setting up the infrastructure for a startup be
nowadays? I'm about to find out using Google App Engine (GAE) to host
the website and Google Apps to carry some of the internal IT chores
(in particular calendar and mail). FWIW, I really didn't care to use
Google Apps until I found out that GAE requires it in order to have
the www.yummymelon.com domain name mapped to it. There's still a fair
bit of details to work through with regards to domain name handling
which if I get the time I'll post about here.
