Hello

The subject of this post is very clear about the content

Right now the requeriments for buying a yUML license are:

"""
  • A Linux server or computer configured to run Ruby and Rails
  • Good knowledge of Rails and Linux administration
  • You or your staff have reasonably good knowledge of Linux and Rails. You need to install several open source packages, including Java and Graphviz.
  • If you're a business user you will need the help of your IT staff to setup yUML on a company server.
  • We can offer help setting up the server and installing yUML for a fee.

IMPORTANT: yUML is a Ruby on Rails app, and requires some expertise to install. We recommend that it is only attempted by people who know Ruby, Rails and Linux well. People who aren't afraid to compile/install Linux packages.

"""

And also says "We can offer help setting up the server and installing yUML for a fee"

But, I think that providing a virtual box virtual machine with a full yUML Configuration embebded would be great for possible customer like me.

Is just an idea ;)

Have a nice year.

This is a great idea.

What do you think about getting yUML as a standalone JAR file that you can run on the desktop, or drag and drop into TomCat?

We'd basically make a jRuby version.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay....

This option you mention is better than my request.

As a standalone java app or as a war for running in tomcat or other java servers, yUML become more atractive for me <3

Regards

pd: sorry for my english

Hello, i'm interested in buying the standalone JAR file to deploy in TomCat. Is this option still viable?
