Hi,
After running each transaction, Yum Extender always closes out the yum
backend and re-opens it, prompting me to enter the root password. This
is kinda cumbersome, is it possible to open the yum backend once?
(PS or is it easier to run yumex as root right away so I don't have to
run through that dialog :P)

Hm, ok. It'd be nice to have yumex as a full replacement for packagekit :P
