Althoughthis program limits the number of downloads you can perform per day, you can still check for outdated drivers as often as you want. You're just limited when it comes to downloading them. I talk more in the review about why this isn't as bad of a limit as it might sound.

Driver Booster will quickly spot broken and outdated drivers and finds the exact up-to-date match for the system and devices. The driver database supports more than 6.5 million devices & drivers from 1200+ major brands. Besides, driver sources are all officially from the original hardware manufacturers and have passed the Microsoft WHQL test and IObit test.

Driver issues will bring painful inconveniences to your life. Crashing, freezing, no sound, keyboard stuck, or frequent network drops, you name it. Driver booster provides free built-in tools to resolve these common Windows issues such as sound, video, graphic, and Wi-Fi connectivity issues once and for all, as well as speed up browsing and downloading for smoother system performance.

Driver Booster provides a safe and stable display driver uninstaller to completely uninstall AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL graphics card drivers, and remove all traces of display driver leftovers. If you want entirely new driver installation, delete drivers that are causing issues, or upgrade GPU from AMD to Nvidia, this driver removal is a must-have.

"Iobit's Driver Booster is the best software available. I have been using all the Iobit Driver Boosters and other Iobit software for many years now. Driver Booster finds outdated drivers for my laptop's and along with using other Iobit software keeps my systems running smoothly. As usual Iobit does it again with a great software that is innovated with new technology to keep my laptop's running at their best."

"One scan a day keeps outdated drivers away. Instead of looking individually for drives updates; just one click on Driver Booster can keep all of my pc's drivers up-to-date! Driver Booster improved my gaming experience especially when it comes to demanding games that needs the latest updates. IObit products showed me the true capability of my pc."

"I was having all sorts of problems with my laptop, finally realizing that it was caused by the drivers. Despite going through all the channels my laptop brand provides I was still having problems. One click of Driver Booster and it found 17 (long) outdated drivers and fixed them just as quickly. My driver problems have disappeared and my laptop is running much better! I will use no other program for my driver needs."

Excellent option for budget/conscious peeps who need a useful driver update utility, beats most of the competition when it comes to extra features and services, such as a game booster, updating game components, and offline driver updates* A solid performer providing consistency and reliability!

I always keep it running while playing because of its "Game Boost" feature, which actually helps in performance, mainly so that your computer focuses its resources on the game you're playing. It's also useful for updating your drivers every few weeks, which you could do manually, but why would you?

Device Doctor is a free Windows application that scans your computer hardware and checks to see if there are new driver updates available for your devices. It also locates drivers for "unidentified devices" in the Windows Device Manager.

So, I am using Driver Updater to update my computer (win10, running all required windows updates) and it has been stuck on this driver for nearly an hour at this point... I am a little uneasy to do anything with my computer because I don't want to interrupt this process, and there does not appear to be a cancel button of any sort in the case that a driver gets stuck like this.

Help?

I agree that is does seem remiss that there is no 'Cancel' button in the Driver Updater, I'll point it out to the staff as an improvement to make.

(I've never used Driver Updater myself so had never noticed).

(I know it can be scary ignoring such 'don't turn off' warnings, but if it is genuinely stuck then there is nothing else you can do - it's less scary once you have done it few times for different freezes).

I'm only guessing here, but it's looks like the kind of 'stick' that could happen if the new driver cannot be fetched from it's server.

(Maybe it's been moved, or withdrawn? Maybe that particular server is offline? Maybe your AV/firewall is blocking the download?).

Again though I'd have thought there should be a 'timeout' error check included for if that happens.

Thank you for the thorough and thoughtful reply! I went ahead and closed CCleaner, which seemed to have worked until my computer blue screen shortly thereafter - I was able to recover everything by reverting back to before the driver updates, so crisis averted.

I've been a loyal CCleaner user for years. Never had any problems so I wanted to buy the product. Signed up for the trial, ran the driver updater, trusted it to update the correct drivers, and suddenly my computer would only restart to blue screen. System restore points wouldn't work either.

I fixed this by restarting in safe mode with networking, opening CCleaner, going to driver updater again, "fix this problem", only to find CCleaner can only restore drivers it originally installed... So the advice on their website did not help me one bit.

Next, I went to the windows search bar and typed recovery, found system restore, and that's where I'm at. Last night the system could not restore from command prompt, but hopefully it can restore from safe mode since I got it to reboot.

CCleaner, remove the genius that developed the driver updater and instead have him at the ready to "chat now" with working chat now option so toy can help your users with this? This could sink your company. It's costing your basic PC user a lot of money to FIX YOUR PROBLEM.

Bruh all you had to do is temporarily boot into "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" mode and see IF it boots, if it does then test audio, then try a normal reboot, if it BSODs then just reboot back into "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement" and revert the Realtek driver to the previous version or simply uninstall it entirely, this isn't Piriforms problem your PC crashed because windows apparently didn't want to boot the machine with a new Realtek driver that hasn't gotten approved by microsoft yet, that's literally WHY your pc would refuse to boot (unless via disable driver verification mode).

This driver RTKVHD64.sys causes so many BSOD's for so many people all the time, this has nothing to do with Piriforms product and what it does, next time maybe go search up google about exactly what driver it is, why it crashed and what to do rather than post on the forums saying "DO NOT USE" and scaring people for no reason.

I just updated my drivers, which included Realtek audio as well (yes, RTKVHD64.sys driver is a part of the update) and rebooted just fine. Some people get boned by it, some do not, it's just down to luck and your pc model and age, blame Realtek
