Ytex working with Apache cTakes 3.01?

Hello Ytex users-

has anybody tried to get Ytex working w/ the latest cTakes
binaries/source? It seems there would be some advantages
of using the latest cTakes engine together with the many
very helpful utilities Ytex offers.

In particular, the db integration Ytex offers is something cTakes
lacks directly out of the box so it could really be cool to be able to use
the latest cTakes w/ Ytex.

we were waiting for ctakes apache to get a little mature, but with the latest release we'll now work on the upgrade

Hello VJ-

just circling back to see if you've had a chance to
get the cTakes 3.1 integration done.

Another though I had is this -- we might get a resource
to be doing some of the cTakes stuff and I think some
of their time can be used to help with the integration within
YTex if you are willing to guide us thru it.

Hi Vlad,

Sorry for the delay, have been very busy with other things.  I am in the process of getting it working on ctakes 3.1.  I will soon create a branch and check in my changes to ctakes SVN.  Does your ctakes resource plan to work with the 'development' version of ctakes (i.e. checked out of source control) or the 'binary' distribution?  If the former, would be great if he/she could check out my branch and play with it.  If the latter, I'll send you a binary distro built from the ctakes ytex branch as soon as I have one - would love to have a beta tester!

BTW - which DB do you use?

thanks for the updates.

 

We’d love to be your beta tester for the integration w/ cTakes 3.1.

 

Initially, we plan to use the binary distribution of YTEX, and work

with the development version as well later on. The first priority is to

get the cTakes 3.1 in YTex tested and tried and ready for  use.

 

We’re on ms sql 2012.
