I'm always a sucker for hurt/comfort so maybe a case goes awry and someone ends up injured? Or maybe one of the many beatings John took in the show actually like did some damage that affected him for longer than five minutes?
Also, I hate how dumb the tv show makes John seen as opposed to in the book. John figuring out some clue in a case before the others would be a delightful treat.

The Mute (Pilgrimage), Brother Diarmuid
Diarmuid/Mute or Gen, please.
This is one of like my top 5 movies and I know it's been done a lot (hell, I've done it), but what happens next?
Does the Mute live? Does he continue his vow of silence if he does? Or does Diarmuid have to go on alone? Does he go back to the others or go somewhere else?
Alternatively, Modern!AU? Soulmate!AU? Reincarnation!AU? If you want to link to MCU Spider Man/Punisher, or Walking Dead or Devil All The Time, feel free to do so. Go wild.

A Knight's Tale (2001)
William Thatcher, Geoffrey Chaucer (A Knight's Tale)
Will/Chaucer or Gen
So Will and Chaucer have an awesome friendship in the movie once they get to know each other, but Geoff is kind of piney at times, and that scene at the pillory kills me every time I see it (especially the extended version, which can be found on youtube if you haven't seen it) so friendship or more (unrequited or not) is up to you, I just want more of it to exist. Again, hurt/comfort is awesome, so maybe Geoff dealing with Will's jousting injuries or something? I don't know.
