Stories based on Japanese or Ainu mythology, behind-the-scenes, unreliable narrations, casefic, fic about characters going about their daily lives years later in the Taisho/Showa era.

For ship fic, I like Yuusaku/Ogata, Sugimoto/Ogata, Yuusaku/Ogata/Sugimoto. Characters hooking up in situations where it's so wrong, kissing on impulse, going for a drive together, emotional detachment during sex, missed connections.

I would love to read an introspective story, either Setsu-centric or Umeko-centric, about Setsu's relationship (or.. lack of....) with his mother and how it changes over the years. Gen fic exploring their respective relationships with traditional Japanese music. Exploration into Umeko's past. How did she start her cosmetics company? How does she feel about singing enka music now?

For this fandom I would prefer gen fic but I am not opposed to a dead-dove scenario with the requested characters either, if you're into that. mommy issues etc etc ;)

I am not caught-up with the manga; I have only watched the 2021 anime.

I love these characters all so much, especially when they do shitty things to protect and/or hurt each other. If you need a prompt, I do have a soft spot for Ryuuzaki and I want to hear all about what he gets up to after he gets out of prison.

For ship fic, I would love to read about a faulty romance between Komaba/Hachiken that never quite took off the way it was supposed to. Up to you if you want to give them a happy ending or not.

I've read far enough into the light novels to know about the fate of the Spearhead Squadron. Anime-only fic OK as well! For this fandom I would love to read something more light-hearted trimmed with angst rather than something truly heavy-hitting. E.g., characters sharing what they believe are their last meals together (but still having a good time).
