Hi! Welcome! I hope you found something in my prompts/ideas that you can work with!
I’m going to wedge the broad-generalized preferences section here, but please consider it applicable to each of the fandoms below as well:
In general — I always want fluff. I want my beloved characters to be happy. Angst is sometimes unavoidable, I know that, but I think fics should have happy endings. We have the real world for the other kind.
I tend to avoid explicit sex scenes, but I’m not against them if they’re story-relevant and well-tagged.
Please no: major character death, A/B/O, noncon, large power imbalances, underage, or kidfic.
Whatever you come up with, I am sure to be delighted by it. I’d be extra-delighted by Treats, if that were to happen. No matter what, I hope you have fun writing, and a joyful Yuletide season! <3

I would love Murderbot to have an adventure. Little adventure? Big adventure? Something else? Whatever kind of adventure you want!
Please feel free to use whatever characters and/or ships you want, although I'd ask that Murderbot itself not be in any kind of romantic or sexual relationship. Also (forgive me if this is obvious), Murderbot uses it/its pronouns, and prefers to be addressed as “SecUnit.”
The following ideas are suggestions only; please feel free to elaborate, deviate or disregard as the spirit moves you:
- Murderbot vs. clothes shopping (or some other mundane human activity)
- Murderbot has to rescue its humans again (sigh)
--- space pirates?
--- some kind of horrible alien monster that wants to eat them?
--- ...or adopt them as pets (those are MURDERBOT's humans!)?
--- a bad date?
--- an extremely tedious cocktail party?
- Murderbot has to be rescued by its humans (embarrassing)
--- Mensah saves Murderbot from having to talk about it feelings
--- someone tries to treat Murderbot like equipment, and Pin-Lee lawyers the shit out of them
--- Gurathin is really rude to someone on Murderbot's behalf
- Murderbot and its bot friends have movie night, and there are Feelings
- ART lives up to its name and makes life difficult for Murderbot while somehow also helping (ugh)
--- maybe a missing scene from "Artificial Condition" where Murderbot is practicing acting more human?

Nine Worlds Series - Victoria Goddard
Cliopher "Kip" Mdang (Nine Worlds), Artorin Damara | Fitzroy Angursell, Conju (The Hands of the Emperor), Ser Rhodin (The Hands of the Emperor)
I'd love some disgustingly sappy fluffy stuff with Kip/His Radiancy. Or, if that's not your thing, some disgustingly fluffy friendship stuff with Kip&His Radiancy (and their other friends, if you want). Basically, I want Kip and the emperor to be human together and have a nice time. Beyond that, I'll be happy with just about anything.
I've only read "The Hands of the Emperor" and its associated short stories (so far), so I'd ask that you stick to that. I have read enough fic to spoil myself about the emperor's name, though :) Please feel free to use or not use whichever characters you deem appropriate.

OK SO. "The Rook" is my Very Favorite Book. I love everything about it and its sequels, and I reread them at least once a year.
That said, it never occurred to me to look for any fic until just now. Once you filter out the ones tagged with the TV show (which is an Abomination Unto Nuggan and must not be mentioned), there are ten. Ten! What?!?
So please, if the spirit so moves you, just write some Checquy fic. I'm not gonna be picky (well, please no Gestalt selfcest. I don't think the world needs any more of that). I'd prefer "&" fics over "/" fics, if that makes sense, but really, I'll take what I can get. Ideas:
- Myfanwy vs. fashion. Always a winner
- Myfanwy and Shantay have a very strange girls' night out
- Odette and Felicity have a very strange girls' night out
- a day in the life of Ingrid Woodhouse, personal assistant to the Weird
- Odette's first mission as an official member of the Checquy
- something that explains why Pawn Motha is a woman in book 1 and a man in book 2? Probably a basic continuity error, but it's always bugged me, and there's probably a totally reasonable in-universe explanation
- Bishop Alrich's blood milkshake brings all the boys to the yard???

Newsflesh Series - Mira Grant
Shaun Mason, Georgia Mason
I love Shaun and George and I want them to be happy. (Are you sensing a theme here?) If you WANT to write a kickass zombie fic with lots of action and gore, I am certainly not going to stop you, but fluff would be just as welcome.
If you don't ship George/Shaun, I'd be just as happy with a George&Shaun, or even a fic with them having a fun time with their other friends. If it's fluffy, I'm in!
Please no major character death. "E" fics are fine, if that's where your inspiration takes you, but I'd prefer no PWP.
Ideas:
- a quiet moment together on the campaign trail
- pre-canon, George and Shaun come to an understanding
- Shaun and George 2.0 take some time to relearn themselves and each other
- post-canon, George and Shaun vs. the zombie [Canadian wildlife]
- post-canon, Shaun is having a great time, George slowly loses it from boredom
- post-canon epistolary between G&S and Mahir (or someone else in the "real world')
- Dr Abbey! Everyone loves Dr Abbey! Shove those three characters and an octopus in a room together and see what happens!

XCOM Series (2012 reboot)
The Commander (XCOM), John "Central" Bradford (XCOM)
LOL. I've always said that the reason Bradford looks so haggard in XCOM 2 is that he spent the ENTIRE time between games 1 and 2 looking for the Commander with pathetic, dogged determination. Like, the kind where all his friends were like, "dude, Commander's dead, you gotta move on with your life, man," and Bradford just Would Not. Stop. He's chasing down leads in dodgy resistance bars, paying extremely questionably people for extremely questionable information, going places he shouldn't and picking fights, etc. Also, he's not getting enough sleep, and living off of shitty ramen and ADVENT burgers, and probably definitely he's drinking too much. But, like, in a comedic way? In my head this is absolutely played for laughs, not angst.
SO. Please I would like something along the lines of:
- Bradford mid-search, just really being a total dumpster fire about everything
- Bradford has found his Commander! Their reunion scene, where Bradford is utterly, pathetically grateful to have the Commander back, and not shy about expressing this
- After the Commander's return, Bradford is suddenly back to his previous hyper-competent XO self. This is bewildering to everyone who knew him during his trash-fire phase, amusing to everyone who knew him before, and confusing the Commander, who doesn't understand everyone else's reactions
I have no strong headcanon as to the Commander's gender. He? She? They? Do what you want! I do ship them, but please do what you think best. Were they together before, and that's why Bradford went to pieces? Does their reunion scene include a confession from Bradford, and if so, is the Commander surprised? Does the Commander reciprocate?? Up to you!
I realize the situation is kinda inherently angsty, but again, laughs over angst, please, if you can swing it.

I dunno, I just really liked this novella. Turns out there's only ONE fic posted? So, anything will be great! FWIW, I don't ship Floralinda/Cobweb, but I think the novella has great "I will cause problems on purpose" vibes.
Ideas:
- Post-canon, getting into the swing of life in the monster business
- Post-canon, F&C strike up an unlikely friendship with the new princess in their tower (paper airplane? shouted conversations? notes tied to genre-typical looooong princess hair?)
- Fifty Ways to Eat an Orange
- an escapade on one of the floors not mentioned in the book?
- princess training montage (TM)
