The Rising World Series - Martha Wells

In <i>Queen Demon</i>, we discover that Kai <i>raised</i> Dahin to young adulthood, in Avagantrum. A look back as to how this worked (or didn't!). Other canon characters, such as Ziede's daughter Tanis, are welcome (even up to Bashasa-level). It would be nice if a solstice festival (or similar) were involved, with worldbuilding, if you like.

Snowed-in Amalo. There should be a little mystery, a lot of being cozy indoors from the snow, tasty Barizheise foods, and details of how Amalo operates when snowed in (some of this is canon in <i>Tomb of Dragons</i>). Maybe Thara rescues Iäna for once (and hurt-comfort ensues)! How Winternight is celebrated, particularly by these friends. You don't have to include Anora, but I am very fond of him. Other friends are welcome: Tomasaran, for example.

Let's give <i>Norway</i>'s finest a mystery or crisis to solve/resolve, followed by New Year's planning or celebration. Or maybe Norway can't make it to Pell in time for New Year's shopping, and people have to make or find presents on the ship in deep space. The weirdness of celebration foods aboard ship could be a feature, or wordbuilding in terms of what would be available for gifts. I love all the <i>Norway</i> crew and officers, so co-starring or walk-ons from Graff, Di Janz, Signy, Talley, Uthup, etc. are welcome. Also whether the Hellburner vets are a foursome or two couples or whatever is your choice, as long as no one gets left out.

Snowed-in Amalo.
