Dear pinch hitters,
Sign-ups for Yuletide 2023 close at 9pm UTC, Saturday 21 October: see countdown. If you defaulted in recent years, you may be eligible to sign up again - see our recent amnesty. If you want to sign up this year, please do it soon!
Wonderful pinch hitters, it is 20 years since Yuletide kicked off, and we couldn't have done it without you!
We'll also certainly need you this year.
At this group, we post requests in need of writers. You can view them by email subscription or on the web - more information here. Reply or contact yuleti...@gmail.com to claim them (meaning you are offering to write a 1,000-word story for the recipient and post it to the Yuletide collection by 9am UTC December 18, or later if it has a later deadline). Mods will reply to let you know if the pinch hit is yours, but will not reply if someone else got it first. We encourage you to refresh yourself on Yuletide's general rules at the collection.
The first batch of Yuletide pinch hits will go out around October 22.
Meanwhile, several other multifandom exchanges need pinch hitters right now. If you can help out, please get in touch with the events' mods! Please check the gift requirements carefully - some exchanges require 2,000-word fic, some 500, etc, and some encourage a wide variety of media. They also use different time zones.

Multifandom TropeFest - due 23 October (may be negotiable)
RelationShipping (incest) - due ASAP up to 24 October
Trick or Treat (art & fic, very loosely Hallowe'en themed) - due 24 October
Fandom Growth Exchange (rare fandoms & chars/ships) - due 26 October
Seasons of Drabbles - due 28 October
Kids Come First (underage) - due 29 October
Fic in a Box (fic or multimedia) - due 5 November
Five Figure Fanwork Exchange (5k, 10k, or longform comic) - due 20 January
And of course:
for exchanges in need at various times.
