Poldark (TV 2015)
Ross Poldark (Poldark (TV 2015)), George Warleggan (Poldark (TV 2015)), Caroline Penvenen (Poldark (TV 2015)), Demelza Carne (Poldark (TV 2015))

It is not necessary to include all the selected characters in your story! Although I would like to see at least two of them. Among my favoured combinations are:
Ross and George: I am 100% here for George’s tragic one-sided obsession with Ross Poldark, and reading his attacks as a desperate attempt to get Ross to notice him. I like that they are assholes to each other. I loved the moment at the end of the last series where they briefly worked together, and then had to stop because it was just too disturbing. I ship it but would be perfectly happy for canon-level gen interactions here.
Ross and Demelza: I have really enjoyed seeing their relationship develop and mature over the series, and seeing Demelza become more confident and more able to tell Ross when he’s being an asshole. I like that they’ve fallen apart and got back together, and built independent lives together. I do think that Ross does not really appreciate Demelza as much as she deserves, given everything she is and does, but it may not be possible to appreciate Demelza sufficiently.
Demelza and Caroline: My actual favorite character on Poldark is Caroline’s wardrobe, and I would happily read a whole story of her taking Demelza shopping in London. Clothing porn and/or real porn would be great! Or just a focus on the friendship between the two women as they attempt to keep their husbands from dying of self-inflicted stupidity.
Demelza and George: I actually think the dynamic between them is really interesting (although I don’t ship them), because all of George’s self-consciousness about his own origins is visible in his loathing for Demelza; I do think that for George it is really all about his relationship with Ross but I think with George everything is about his relationship with Ross.

It is not necessary to include both women in your story: a focus on one of the other would be fine. On the other hand I do think their dynamic is really interesting and underdeveloped on the show, especially that between older Jennifer and Katarina. I really love Katarina, but I also really love the way Jennifer gets under her skin so effortlessly, and how much fun she has doing it. I would love to see the two of them having to work together, perhaps in some kind of time-travel adventure, perhaps having to hold off an attack when the rest of the cast are off doing something else.
Other prompts for Katarina: I love that she’s such an asshole, and so convinced she’s right. I love that just when you think she can’t do anything worse she goes ahead and finds something worse to do. I absolutely still ship her with Olivia, and love how she uses their mutual obsession to get the upper hand – I would really enjoy some dubcon here. I love her interactions with pretty much every member of the cast, especially the way she has to build her relationship with Hannah, but also with Cole and Cassie. And I love Deacon with everyone so take that as read.
Other prompts for Jennifer: I would love a take on her time leading the Daughters: she knows what’s coming already, but she can’t do anything about it yet. That must be so weird and difficult! I would also be interested in a meeting between her and Deacon during this period especially if you posit that he remembers what will happen too; this could be shippy or gen. I guess looking at my prompts I find Older Jennifer really interesting and would love to see anything more of her, but I do of course also love Younger Jennifer, especially as she grows to trust Cole and Cassie, but I kind of feel that what the show gave me there is good. On the other hand I feel like a story about Jennifer and Ramse having adventures together would be excellent, especially if it explored some of their similarities to do with knowing the future and their twisted relationships with Olivia.

Palliser Series - Anthony Trollope
Madame Max Goesler | Marie Finn, Glencora Palliser

You do not need to include both characters, although I do love them both and their interactions especially during the period when Glencora is terrified of Marie marrying the Duke of Omnium and displacing her and Plantagenet, and especially their son. I would be really interested in that AU, to be honest, although I’m not sure I would like to see Marie and the Duke having a child – perhaps instead something where Glencora is the duchess and Marie is the dowager duchess and that is the point at which they develop a friendship. I would also love a story where they work together to help a third person (maybe Laura Kennedy? Maybe something political to do with Plantagenet?)
Mme Max: I am really really interested in the period when Marie is inserting herself into British society and how she manages the cultural differences to create a place for herself. I would be interested in a story in which Marie was in fact Jewish (IIRC in the novels she is not although her husband was) – how does that change her position, or does it? I am less interested in her eventual marriage of Phineas Finn, I have to admit, but that is more to do with the way his story plays out than the way hers does.
Glencora Palliser: I love Glencora as a grown-up ingenue, who doesn’t have to compromise who she really is, but does become more mature and gains more control over herself and her life. I think she and Plantagenet are a wonderful pairing and do not want to see that disrupted. I’d love a story where they work together to solve some kind of political or social problem, or where Glencora’s talents save the day for Plantagenet.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - Susanna Clarke
Stephen Black (JSMN - Clarke), John Uskglass | The Raven King (JSMN - Clarke), John Childermass (JSMN - Clarke)

I do not need all three characters in the story: I’d love a story with interactions between two of them or something about any of them individually. Or, you know, a story in which both The Raven King and John Childermass turn up in Stephen Black’s kingdom, post-novel! Some more prompts:
Stephen Black: I really would love a post-canon story about Stephen settling in as king and getting the Fair Folk to shape up – it’s a really cool ending for him, but is it a happy one? His insistence on his own human dignity is so important to him, but what happens when he is the only human there? A story in which Childermass showed up to keep him company, perhaps while on a quest of his own, would be great! Or a story in which I’m wrong and Stephen Black is happy, self-sufficient and powerful on his own.
John Childermass: I really love the idea of John Childermass coming into his own, and into his own power, over the course of the series. I would love a set of meetings between him and the Raven King, especially if Childermass has no idea what is going on.
John Uskglass: He is such an interesting, mysterious, powerful figure. Is anything human left in him? One of the things I really love about the book are the historical stories, folktales and scholarship within it, and something along those lines focusing on the Raven King’s past, or exploring what he was doing during all those years in which magic was gone from England, would be wonderful!
