I love everything about Gyula - I'd love to hear the story of where and how he learned any of the things he knows, including whatever digs he was on with Károly where he learned so much about the Iazyges! I'm also obsessed by how much he wants to just get shit done and how dedicated he is to changing things, even when Károly and the Professor try to talk him down, even when all the rest of them accept life as it is, he just never gives up. I'd love him to be narratively allowed to do the industrial revolution he dreams of :3 Maybe they all (or Gyula alone) time travels to earlier in history, when Mátyás was less constrained by war and necessity and had more time to deal with them? Of course Gyula alone would have difficulties of his own, since he's not exactly a historian, but he'd put his head down and get on with it I'm sure :D


I will happily ship Gyula with anyone and everyone, including OCs <3

I love this version of László - how his grief turns to anger turns to menace so fast when he's dealing with Ulrich and Ladislaus, how passionate he is with Maria, and how sweet he is with Matthias, coaxing him on that of course he'll find some girl who likes him someday :D He contains multitudes! I completely adore how he's so capable, and yet there's still that streak of impulsive overconfidence and that trust that leads him to disaster.


I'd love anything more about him - precanon fic with his parents? More about his relationship with Maria, or his relationship with Matthias? Or AU where he doesn't die (permanently) is also very welcome! Maybe he's imprisoned or banished (I always love a gay-marriage-disinheritance-AU)? I also love ghosts and other supernatural ways for people to not perma-die, as well as time travel! If you're continuing past the point where he dies, feel free to either follow the continuity of the series or go as divergent-AU as you'd like.


I will happily ship László with anyone except King Ladislaus or Ulrich and gen is of course always welcome.


I'm also very fond of the messenger that comes to tell Erzsébet that Ulrich is dead, that poor guy lol. I'd love to know more about him if you'd like to include him. Maybe he was with János and László for a long time? :D

There are so many just narratively fascinating stories in this bio that I'd love fic about! Tell me more about Matthias doing his own army's recon, getting captured, and talking himself out of it by pretending to be a local groom! Or what it was like for those months trapped alone in Prague after Ladislaus died, not knowing what was going to happen to him. Or struggling with Mihály for control of the government, or deciding he couldn't risk war with the Ottomans and had to imprison Vlad, or finding out just in time about any of the plots against him... I love terrible things happening to him and him coming back from them stronger, colder, more resilient <3


I'm also very interested though in more slice of life stuff: tell me about a day in the life of the roman military history nerd, the renaissance art superfan, the soldier, the diplomat, the propagandist, the guy who fell in love at first sight at a dance. I am really into the speculations Kubinyi makes about his personality/motivations throughout all these!


And I always love time travel, any variety of it, from historical characters going to the future, people from the future coming back, or people time traveling back to their younger selves.


I'll ship Matthias with anyone who isn't DNWed; ocs are welcome in ship as well as gen fic.r a long time? :D
