I'd love to see the worldbuilding explored as well as the characters' backstories. Presumably their upbringing was all kinds of fucked-up, and their relationship with each other, and with Kane fascinates me. Explore how they came to be in such different places at the start of the film. How did Sol come to be leader of the cannibals? What would have happened if Captain Sinclair hadn't turned up?
I would love to see something post-canon, and in that case I'm fine for Sol to remain dead, although I would still prefer him to be a heavy influence on the fic (such as Cally dealing with her complicated feelings over her brother's death, for example). Or alternatively a canon-divergent fic where Sol survives and the wall comes down with a blanket amnesty on all crimes? How do he and the other survivors adapt to their new-found freedom in an extremely non-utopian Britain?
If you want to write shipfic, I like Sol/Cally, Sol/Cally/Viper, and Cally/Stirling, but I would also love to see an entirely gen exploration of the relationship

What I really like about this version of Hamlet is how pared back it is. The sets are non-existent so it feels like it's taking place in a strange liminal space, so take full advantage of that -- is it purgatory? I really ship this version of Hamlet and Horatio *hard*, and I’d love to see hurt/comfort, backstory for them, explorations of the class issues, pining (mutual or otherwise), missing scenes, post-canon fics, whether canon-divergent or otherwise (and I am more than happy for Main Character Death and heavy focus on grief here, just for the record). Or a post-canon thing focusing on the theme of truth? Also ghosts, supernatural fuckery, Horatio dealing with the aftermath of canon and essentially being the last man standing...

I like the first two films a lot, but it's the second one that I really love beyond all reason. It's not necessarily a good film, but the trope of characters being trapped on a stormy island and being picked off one by one is CATNIP.
I love the setting and the Shining vibes I get from the lovely hotel with its motley array of staff, I love the ridiculous premise of Ben's convoluted plan (Step 1: Lure them to the Bahamas), and how the more you think about it, the less sense it makes.
Horror is particularly welcome for this, whether slasher-style gory horror or something quieter and more understated. I'd just like to see the island explored a little bit, whether it's the legacy Ben leaves behind after the first time he left, or after the events of the film. Ghost stories, urban legends! Or dig a little deeper into what's going on behind the scenes of the events in the film.

The dynamic between Mary and Howard is one of my favourite aspects of this episode, the way he feverishly encourages her in their investigation of the guesthouse, ultimately leading into disaster, and the way that mirrors the way he's been inadvertantly, encouraging her incestuous attraction towards him, which.... daaaamn. The moments of incesty subtext between them are some of the most uncomfortably hot things I’ve ever seen – her touching his hand, the way he eases her down onto the bed, while he touches her face and searchingly gazes at her... Oof. I ship them so hard, and all the harder for how distraught and guilty he is over what happens. I just want these two to be happy (or miserable, idk. Whatever XD)

Oh god, this film is absolutely delightful. It’s just the loveliest film, and I love everything about it: the central message of how every problem can be solved with bootleg whisky, the quiet understated humour, and especially all the scenes of island life, the rèiteach, and all the Gaelic, and the scenery (even if it doesn’t quite come through in b&w), and the two central romances, particularly George and Catriona, who were adorable. I’d love to see more of the two of them, whether it follows them post-canon, or if it’s set in the period leading up to the events in the film. The film focuses a lot on the men of the island, so if you want to expand on the two sisters and their relationship with each other, and the other women of the island, especially George’s mother, then please do. I’d really love either something which captures the tone of the film (sweet and fluffy and gently funny) OR something atmospheric which captures the character and beauty of the island.
Generally I’d love to see something indulgently fluffy and heartwarming, home guard shenanigans, or some other low-stakes conflict, something domestic, sweet or smutty (or both), or alternatively something which goes hard on the atmosphere, details of island life, and scenery porn, or domestic details of married life as their marriage evolves over the years and the seasons. A gentle murder mystery or some other kind of casefic would also be wonderful.
