Hi folks,
Camosun College has a number of funded seats available for their Camosun Bridge Watch Rating program (https://camosun.ca/programs-courses/find-program/bridge-watch-rating-program#program ) starting June 27 (yes, I know, very soon!). It is open to women and Indigenous learners (all genders) looking to begin a career working as deckhands in the marine industry. It is also a pre-req to work on vessels over 500 gross tons and offers a number of valuable industry certifications. Employers are knocking down their doors to hire these students!
It is not youth specific; however, it is open to any 17 or older (though they have to turn 18 by the end of the program), so they thought it may pertain to some of the folks you work with!
