ETHOS Career Management Group Ltd. (ETHOS) is excited to launch a new employment program! We are looking for project partners who could help spread the word and send referrals to the program. If you are, or know of a community member or organization who might be able to help us reach young entrepreneurs, or who would be interested in providing entrepreneurial mentorship please reach out to our contact info below.
ETHOS has a new employment program called Rebel Entrepreneur. The goal of Rebel Entrepreneur is to offer support and assistance to young entrepreneurs who have a business idea, or are looking for support in relaunching a business.
The program application is open to any young entrepreneur who is:
- 15-29 years of age
- Unemployed or precariously employed
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Living on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, or Powell River
- Not a full-time student
- Not currently participating in another provincial or federal labour market program
Rebel Entrepreneur will be a 10-week virtual program, containing a combination of facilitated classroom time and self-directed online modules. Participants will receive individualized training plans based on a variety of entrepreneurial and self-assessments. Class content includes business skills, soft and essential skills, and entrepreneurial concepts needed to run a business. Participants will work one-on-one with a Business Coach throughout the program to develop their business idea into a formalized Business Plan. If a participant decides they need further business-related training to be successful, ETHOS staff will connect them to appropriate education or training institutions, and help them explore relevant offerings. At the end of the Rebel Entrepreneur program, participants will present their Business Plan to a Review Panel, and receive critical feedback and assessment. If the Participant is ready to launch or relaunch their business, a Business Coach will be available for support, and to answer questions for up to three months post program.
