Hi,

I would like to shift the focus from clients that we work with to YOU for the Y Mind program. If you are between 18-30 years old and are a human service worker, we can support you. This work has a high burnout rate and Y Mind can help you. You can then use the tools to support your clients while also supporting yourself.

Hello!

We are funded for another year!

If you are interested in having a better relationship and understanding of your mind and how it works, we are here. Our groups are about purpose — finding meaning and belonging. The question shifts from the chaos of why is this happening, to open curiosity and learning tangible tools and strategies of what I can do, how I will do it in a way that is authentic.

We are looking for participants aged 18 – 30 for our upcoming FREE Spring psych ed groups for people who are interested in real-world connections, engaging and learning at their own pace to support their mental wellness. Life is stressful and we are here to support you in the work you do. Co-workers, students, teachers, young parents, addictions worker, social workers, nurses, childcare workers, hospitality industry workers, friends and family would all be a great fit. We use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness and self-compassion. If you are not satisfied with CBT or are curious about something adjacent, try ACT.

If you are looking for experiences that truly resonate and want to connect and participate with people through shared experiences that feel alive and authentic to support your resilience; please connect us. You can join us this spring, be guided by trained mental health professionals, get a free workbook, Happiness Trap graphic book, and a Y membership while you are in the program. 😊

This group is not intended for people who experience high levels of anxiety. Although family members of people with higher levels of anxiety and other mental health challenges could benefit. They sometimes get forgotten. This is not group therapy or a meditation group.

We have information sessions open for registration posted on our website and group dates below, everyone must attend an info session and following intake to make sure the group is a good fit:

  • Victoria location: Wednesdays May 6 to June 17th,  2026, Cook Street Activity Centre from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Info sessions April 22 or 29 same start time

A past participant comment:

“It has had a hugely positive impact. I find myself able to do things I never would have thought possible six months ago. I have slowly become more comfortable with discomfort and find myself seeking out situations where I can grow and be challenged.”
