Hi folks!
We are back to hosting what we used to call “Micro-Job Fairs”!
Starbucks is opening a new store downtown at the head of Government St where the old Customs House was. They need about 12 hires – baristas and shift supervisors – and are hoping that we can help with their recruitment.
This event is live in-person at 201- 1483 Douglas Street from 11:00-3:00 on Tuesday June 28. They’ll have 2 Starbucks recruiters at the table and another in an office able to do on-site onboarding for the right candidates! There is no registration for this event – just come on the day of. This event is also open to non-WorkBC job seekers.
Please share this opportunity with anyone in the community you think would be interested. They are going to emphasize at their table their commitment to inclusive and accessible employment! Also, notice that the first 25 resumes they receive will get a free Starbucks gift card! They’re also going to have samples on hand. 😊
I’ve attached job descriptions and posters. Please let me know if there are questions.
Cheers,
Gavin
