I just realized that I had a discrepancy in the weekend e-mail sent yesterday. In the first part of the e-mail I correctly had the Lebanon VA 5K on the 29th. I later listed it as an option for Sunday the 30th. Please note that the Lebanon VA 5K is in fact on SATURDAY the 29th. Sorry for any confusion.

The YARRC needs to recruit more race timers. Keep in mind that you can make real $$$ doing this. I know we ask for volunteers most of the time, but this time we are looking for people that want to get paid to help us out. There have been a number of events added to our schedule, and it is becoming a rigorous schedule.
In addition to the need for paid race timers, we also need a volunteer to start to train and eventually become the coordinator for making sure there are race timers at the events. This is where we are asking for an unpaid volunteer person. Basically, you keep a spreadsheet of all local events and keep track of who is doing what races. It also entails e-mails to race timers, race directors, and YARRC officers.
If you are interested in the paid positions or the volunteer position, let me know by responding to this e-mail or calling me at 717-433-1286.
We presently have operator needs for:
6/26 Codorus Blast Tri
7/7 Running Feet 5K
8/21 On the Rocks Trail Run
8/28 Servants Run
9/11 Eagle Firefighter
9/12 Clarabeth's ROAR 5K
9/25 Braille Awareness
9/25 Merrick Fund 5K
9/25 Septemberfest 5K
10/2 Heather Baker Memorial
10/9 Dr. Segro (Tim- Did you commit to this?)
10/16 Twisted Turkey
10/23 White Rose Run
We are most concerned about the upcoming Codorus Blast, and the 9/25 schedule of 3 races.
Thank you.
Update on Sunday’s Option 2 training run. Hal Darr informed me that from now through the end of the summer they will be meeting at Brillhart at 7AM to get the run in before the heat. This will also be updated in next week’s e-mail.
Thank you.
