The Gene Gladfelter Memorial Mile is less than a month away! http://www.shilohuccyorkpa.org/
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Gene Gladfelter Memorial Mile
(GGMM) and the race directors are going to do something unprecedented;
THE REGISTRATION FEES HAVE BEEN LOWERED! Yea that's right this is one
thing that has gotten cheaper in the past year! The GGMM has raised over
$44,000 for ALS research in the past 9 years through the support of the York area
running community and you deserve a big thank you.
To mark the 10th anniversary we have made some changes to make the event even
more special.
This year there is an all kids heat, all kids 12 and under
will run in their own heat. Parents and Grandparents be sure to bring
your cameras.
There will again be an all women heat, no testosterone
allowed!
There will be a new t-shirt design for this years race.
We also have the same amenities that you have come to expect from the Gene
Gladfelter Memorial Mile
Friendly volunteers from Shiloh United Church of Christ
Fast and accurate timing provided by the York Road Runners
Club
Cash awards and plenty of age group awards
The Cross Country Team Challenge
Fast, well marked course
Safe .25 mile fun run for the smallest future track and
cross country stars
And many others
Be sure to come out this year and help us celebrate 10 years of racing in
support of ALS research. Be sure to bring your friends, family and
neighbors, everybody should be able to walk or run a mile for a great cause.
