Bob here is another option for this weekend, please distribute to the mailing list, thanks.  The Peak to Park 5 miler is a low key downhill point to point 5 miler from Ski Round Top to the community park near Rossville.  Should be some fast times for those who attend.  I spoke to the race director this morning and he only had 13 people preregistered, so there are plenty of awards up for grabs.

The race starts at 9:00am on Saturday at ski round top and there will be shuttles to take you back after the race.

Attached in is a scanned copy of the race app.

Runners,

Attached is the latest race calendar.  Note there are two local events this weekend that I am aware of:

9       7th Annual Dr. Segro Memorial 5K, 9am in Red Lion, www.rlasd.k12.pa.us  (click on Links, then on Dr. Segro Memorial Site, then click on Race Application).  Contact:  David Anderson dla...@verizon.net or 717-880-2400.

10     Mina Miller 5K and 1 mile fun run, 9am (1 mile), 10am (5K); York SDA Church - 2220 Roosevelt Ave., York.  Contact:  dereksa...@epix.net; (717) 932-1003

Here are the plans for this weekend and updates on weekday runs, welcome one and all, any distance any pace, we want to see you out on the roads and/or trails.  Remember, we are prompt in starting these runs, so try to be there on time if you plan to run with the group.  If you know someone who is not on this e-mail, please share with them.  Please give feedback on these runs and recommendations for future runs (time, location, routes, etc.) to Doug Barnett (dbarne...@comcast.net ) or Bob Breighner (bobbre...@comcast.net).

Regular Training runs and times.

SUNDAY

7:00AM BRILLHART STATION (rail trail parking lot). The distance run is somewhere between 6 miles to 11 miles. Call Hal Darr at 741-3693.

WEDNESDAYS - We meet every Wednesday at 5:30 PM behind the Colonial Shopping Center (across from the York Hospital). We leave to run at 5:45. There are several groups of various abilities so you're sure to find a run that fits you.

TRAINING ROUTES:  If you are looking for a new course to train on, visit the following site and use the online searchable database to find new routes. http://www.usatf.org/routes/search/

GOOGLE GROUPS:  A reminder that we have a Google Group set up for YARRC runners, if you would like to sign up.  Go to the Google Groups site and join YRRC.

RUNNING MATCHES:  If you are looking for runners at your pace and distance, consider signing up for our running matches program.  If you are interested in being added, please send me an e-mail with your average training pace and distance of runs.  After this mass e-mail, I will be sending e-mails to the runners that signed up in pace groups.  We are hoping the runners that find matches will plan to join the larger group at the weekend meeting locations and then head off in smaller groups at their own pace and distance.

PROMOTE:  Promote running in the York community.  Please share this information with your friends and family.  Also, if they would like to be added to the distribution list, let me know.

YARRC HISTORY:  If you haven’t heard, YARRC has added an Archive page to our website.  Check it out.  We are continually adding old copies of newsletters and other information on the history of the YARRC.  The training articles, race results, and events are very interesting.
