Good morning,
Opening day of the 15th season of the Govans Farmers Market is next Wednesday June 3rd from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm at 5104 York Road.
Enjoy music from violinist Noah Stone (see his bio further below), children's activities, and shop with our many local vendors.
Opening day vendors include:
Phoenix House (Italian ice and lemonade)
GoluBowl (rice bowls, includes Halal and vegan options)
Raspberry Moments (desert vendor that is also in the process of opening a
cafe at 4646 York Road)
Unhinged Kettle (herbal teas)
Detria's Creations
..and more!
Unfortunately, the abrupt heat spike in April, followed by the sudden cold snap that followed, damaged certain summer fruit crops in farms across the region. Shaw Orchards is in the process of recovering from this event and will not be vending with us at the
start of the season. We encourage people to bookmark their
website to follow their updates. We will miss them!
Hope to see you there and be sure to follow the market on
Facebook or
Instagram for updates.
Thanks,
Gia
