Get ready for a colorful afternoon on York Road.

The 2026 York Road Colorwave Street Fest is happening this Saturday, April 25 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and we’re excited to share your guide to the day’s programming. This email includes the festival map and event schedule overview to help you plan your route, pick your stops, and make the most of the afternoon.

Location: York Road corridor, centered around 5600–5800 York Road

This event is rain or shine.

Festival Activity Hubs

Across four colorful activity hubs, you can shop local vendors, enjoy live music, explore the flower market, bring kids to hands-on activities at the library, connect with community resources, and grab a free lunch.

The full lineup includes:

Bloom Bash Craft & Vendor Fair at 5604 York Road, featuring 40+ local makers and artisan vendors, plus mini paper bouquet crafting from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Bellona Triangle Flower Market at 5622 York Road, featuring flower arrangements by Gordon Florist and a live performance by harpist Maura Tull
Kids’ Corner @ Govans Library at 5714 Bellona Avenue, with a free book giveaway, coloring, rock painting, and native plant giveaways
Lortz Lane Resource Row at 400 Lortz Lane, featuring community resources plus free boxed lunch from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM provided by Nailah’s Kitchen and Angeli’s Pizzeria, along with a live performance by Robert “Ax” Adams

The festival is designed as a walkable, multi-site experience, so we encourage you to stroll the corridor and explore each hub. The map shows how the activity sites connect, making it easy to plan your visit and move from one stop to the next throughout the afternoon.

Make a Morning of It at HEX Superette

Before you head to the festival, don’t forget to stop by HEX Superette and check out their new weekend breakfast service! HEX Superette is located at 5718 York Road, right in the middle of the festival footprint. Doors now open at 8:00 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, with a menu featuring shakshuka, breakfast sandwiches, burritos, strata, pastries, coffee, and more.

Breakfast standouts include kimchi tomato shakshuka with local eggs and focaccia and a buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwich with gochujang mayo, greens, and pickled onions. HEX Superette is also serving a lineup of morning cocktails, including The Fermentista — a bright, low-ABV drink inspired by an espresso tonic with kombucha, sweet vermouth, espresso, citrus, and hops.

If you’re planning to spend the day on York Road, it’s the perfect way to start your morning before heading over to Colorwave Fest.
