Kickoff YRP building relational power Sept. 17, 6:30 pm!

To all York Road Partnership Member Organizations,

You are invited to attend an important kickoff meeting that marks our new membership in BUILD (Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development). Our goal is to bring people together to listen and build relationships and collective power towards a more equitable corridor. 

At this meeting, we invite you to bring members from your neighborhood/organization to join a focused, facilitated conversation about issues that concern you and your organization. We know many of these issues stem from historic underinvestment in some of our communities. 

As a member of BUILD, YRP is looking to grow by careful listening and identifying issues that motivate people to take action together while developing new leaders to make a difference. 

Join us as we learn BUILD’s methods of organizing thousands of people in campaigns that have successfully won the nation’s first living wage bill; $1 billion for new schools in Baltimore, including two right on our corridor; and the incredible transformation of the Oliver and Johnston Square neighborhoods in East Baltimore. 

Transforming York Road will take more people getting involved in a sustained and strategic way. Let’s talk about how we do this together.
