🌸😊🛍️🌷💃 Join Us for the York Road Colorwave Street Fest: Saturday, April 25A spring celebration of flowers, music, local vendors, family fun, and community connection across York Road.
We invite you to join us for the 2026 York Road Colorwave Street Fest, a signature spring activation led by the York Road Improvement District and Healthy Neighborhoods. On Saturday, April 25 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, three blocks of York Road will come alive with a colorful, walkable festival experience. This year’s event is designed to celebrate local artisans, creative placemaking, community life, and small businesses along the corridor. Across four activity hubs, festival-goers can explore a flower market, enjoy live music, browse a pop-up craft and vendor fair, visit community resource tables, grab free BBQ, and bring kids for hands-on art activities and a free book giveaway. What to Expect at the York Road Colorwave Street FestSpread across four activity hubs, the festival invites you to stroll the corridor and discover something new at every stop. Here’s what you can expect at each location: Enjoy a beautiful spring gathering space at Bellona Triangle, featuring a live harp performance by Maura Tull, plant and flower vendors, and a central welcome area with seating and tables. This site is designed as a calm, inviting place to celebrate the season and shop from local growers and flower-focused vendors. Lortz Lane will be closed to traffic and transformed into a pedestrian-friendly community corridor filled with resource tables, art activities, live music, and free BBQ lunch from Heritage Smokehouse. This space is all about connection — with community partners, with neighbors, and with the corridor itself. Inside 5604 York Road, explore a curated indoor pop-up market featuring 40+ local makers and artisan vendors. This is a chance to shop local, support Baltimore-based small businesses, and experience a creative reuse of a vacant storefront space as part of the broader effort to activate the corridor. Families can head over to Govans Enoch Pratt Library for children’s programming, art and crafts, hands-on activities, and a free book giveaway. This site will serve as the festival’s family and education hub, offering welcoming indoor programming for youth and caregivers throughout the afternoon. A Walkable, Multi-Site Festival ExperienceOne of the most exciting things about the York Road Colorwave Street Fest is that it is designed as a connected experience across multiple spaces. Rather than being confined to one lot or one block, the festival invites visitors to walk through the corridor, discover different types of programming, and experience York Road as a vibrant, evolving neighborhood destination. We hope you’ll spend part of your Saturday with us. Come shop, stroll, listen, connect, and celebrate spring on York Road. Thank You to Our PartnersA special thank you to Healthy Neighborhoods, Inc. for supporting this event, and to the many partners, vendors, performers, volunteers, and community leaders helping bring it to life. © 2026 York Road Improvement District |
