York Road Partnership Members & Neighbors,

I hope you were able to have a restful holiday season. Thanks to everyone who came to YRP's Holiday Potluck back on December 3 at Govans Presbyterian Church. Special thanks to Sandi McFadden, Kaye Gooch, and Bonita Cody for the amazing holiday set-up and organizing of the food! It was festive and delicious. The one thing we didn't do was take pictures! If you happened to snap any, please let me or another YRP Board member know.

Please help us start off 2026 at the York Road Partnership General Meeting, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, 7:15 pm at our regular location, Govans Boundary United Methodist Church, at 5210 York Road (enter from the back parking lot through the red door on the right as shown on street view here). You can also register for the Zoom option if you need to attend that way.

There is a lot happening as we start this New Year! We will hear more from the York Road Improvement District's Street Outreach Team, now that their work has been underway for a few months. And then there will be more on these other efforts that we have discussed at previous meetings:
  • Posting the job description for the organizer we will hire in the next few months.
  • YRP listening efforts working with York Road corridor neighborhoods.
  • Recent awards to York Road under the Baltimore Regional Neighborhood Initiative (BRNI) and updating our 2019 BRNI Plan for 2026.
  • Purchasing and renovating 5723 York Road (the former Flight Restaurant)
  • Results of a survey of more than 100 nearby residents and businesses about preferred uses for the little brick building at 4518 York Road, recently acquired by the City.
  • A new grant opportunity for the corridor identified by Loyola University, due Jan. 30.
Lots of opportunities in 2026 where we can figure out the best path together. Happy New Year, and we hope to see you Wednesday evening.
