Meet YRP's new Community Organizing Manager Wed. at 7:15 pm! And Board nominations, April 20 BUILD action, and MORE

This month we have a particularly good reason to encourage you to come - in person if at all possible - to the York Road Partnership General Meeting, this Wed., April 8, 7:15 pm, at Govans Boundary United Methodist Church, 5210 York Road. (Zoom registration here, if you need to.)

As we just posted to the YRP Facebook page, the York Road Partnership Board is excited and honored to welcome Allison "Ali" Duggan as our new Community Organizing Manager, starting tomorrow! Ali comes to us after more than ten years at Fusion Partnerships, where she developed and staffed the resident-led InFusion Community Grants Program that supported neighborhood projects, schools, artists, and grassroots leaders across East Baltimore. Last year Ali wrapped up her time at Fusion as Interim Executive Director, helping to transition more than 100 sponsored grassroots programs to new organizational homes while maintaining strong relationships with those community partners, staff, and funders. 

And Ali is from here! She grew up in Mid Govans, where her parents still live. We are really excited that Ali is bringing her talents and passion for communities back to her home corridor. 

So please join us! Here is our full agenda. There is lots coming up! Nominations for 2026-27 YRP officers and board. An April 20 BUILD action to make the Bellona Ave./Northern Parkway intersection safer, along with other hot spots throughout North and Northeast Baltimore. YRP's purchase of 5723 York Road continues to move forward smoothly, and we'll have some fun getting to know each other some more.
