Gooood afternoon my fellow young professionals,
It's a new year! And with that comes the annual shake-up of the YPOR leadership. In case you didn't make this month's business meeting, we all spent some time catching up after the holidays, electing the new leadership, and welcoming a few new members.
Zabrina Minor has stepped up to the helm, taking over the Presidential slot, and Aaron Holbrook won the bid for our new VP. Your Secretary/Treasurer is now me, Thomas Dyke, and I will therefore be graciously accepting your forgiveness for the inevitable grammar/spelling errors in future emails. We've kept the committee structure with your chair heads as follows:
-Community Involvement: Courtney Dyer
-Social/Membership: Michael Stokes
-Professional Development: Saba Seaver
YPOR has done a lot of work with
Big Brothers Big Sisters in the past through charity events and donations. We are especially proud of our members who have taken it to the next level by becoming Bigs. Some have even gotten involved with the BBBS leadership! This is an organization working in our community to make a lasting impact in kid's lives (future YPORians!), and in support of their mission, YPOR will have a team in their upcoming
Bowl For Kid's Sake next month at the Oak Ridge Bowling Center on Feb. 26th. So, join the team and bowl with us!

This month's social, I'm excited to say, will be at Aubrey's next week on January 21st @ 6:00PM. This always seems to be a pretty good social spot for us, and with the $2 pint night, I can see why. Bring your friends and I hope to see lots of new and old faces there!
Kind regards,
