As you may be aware, Nutritional Epidemiology in India is at a very nascent stage and needs capacity and skill building. We at the Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC; www.ccdcindia.org) , Centre of Excellence Centre for cardio-metabolic Risk Reduction in South Asia (CoE CARRS; www.coecarrs.org) and Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI; www.phfi.org) are planning to organize a five day Advanced Training course on Nutrition Epidemiology from 5-9th Nov 2011 in New Delhi. In this regard, we would like to request you to kindly help us in disseminating this information and identifying few potential candidates for the seminar. The total no of students we shall be taking is limited to 50. We will encourage participation from :
§ Graduates in all disciplines especially public health, nutrition, medicine
$ Para medical staff like nurses, social workers, health assistants, public health educators, etc
§ Researchers from nutrition and allied fields including clinicians involved in nutrition research
§ Nutrition program related practitioners in the public and private sector
§ Doctoral and Post doctoral students
We have very renowned national and international faculty on our teaching panel and we hope the participants can engage in useful discussions and in-depth learning on nutrition epidemiology principles and concepts.
