Open letter of Aristides Daskalopoulos Foundation scholars’ , Athens-Greece

To our dismay we were recently informed about the fore coming end of
the Aristeides Daskalopoulos Foundation, Athens - Greece (ΙΑΔ, www.iad.gr).
Since we have all gained so much through the scholarships and support
provided by the foundation, we feel obliged to state that:
* We believe that IAD is of great importance as a source of knowledge
and information in the field of Nutrition and Food Science in Greece
and as a scholarship provider for young scientists who lack the
financial background. The field of Nutrition and Food Science of our
country will suffer if the foundation ceases to operate.
* We ask of your support through your institutions, colleagues,
associates and friends in order to help the Foundation to continue its
work, primarily by participating in the petition below:

* Finally we make an appeal at Daskalopoulos family, who have
supported over the years the foundation and through that our studies
and careers, to consider the major importance of the support needed by
future young scientists.
