Help with Building Wishes

Greetings YPACers,
We have some seriously awesome building wishes that need some seriously awesome HELP.
Please see below for some quick bullet points on each project. As you will read, it’s quite a list, and all of them need actual construction expertise. Construction is not in our general realm of wishes and we have run into a few obstacles….so we’re hoping for some help in making sure these kiddos get their wish. If you are or know anyone in the industry that may be able to help (please note various locations), please let us know ASAP.

Priority Project – Retaining Wall in Salinas
- Ellie, age 11
- She wished to have a safe play space
- Need: Contractor/group to build the retaining wall (all other aspects are ready to go but our builder who was doing this aspect sadly did not show up)
- Retaining wall would need to be approximately 3 ft high
- Boards are already there, but they would need to be cut and constructed
- Approximately 2-3 posts that need to replaced/repaired
- See attached photo for existing retaining wall
- For various reasons, Ellie has been waiting for her wish for a long time so we are hoping to get a group out ASAP.
Treehouse in Petaluma
- Jackson, age 4, with neuroblastoma (not terminal at this point, but disease is serious and we would like to get it done ASAP)
- He wished to have a treehouse
- Need: contractor, lumbar, expertise, labor…essentially everything
- There’s an existing plan already (see “jackie’s plans”)
- There are interested contractors, but not available until a few months from now….so we’re looking for help sooner
Crane in Fairfield
- Rylee, age 5, disease of nervous system, non-verbal
- She wished to have a swim spa
- Need: A crane to physically move the crane from delivery truck to backyard
- The spa is en route, with an expected delivery of 3-5 weeks from now
Treehouse in Orinda
- Lindsey, age 14, Lupus
- She wished to have one of Pete Nelson’s (the treehouse guy) treehouse design called “Nooksack”
- Need: An arborist, contractor, lumbar, expertise, labor…again, everything J
- Plans require an “intermediate to advanced base” of construction knowledge to execute
- The tree will dictate the final design, hence the need for the arborist

Greetings from Make-A-Wish!
I hope you are doing well. We have had an increase in construction-related wishes lately, and we need your help. Tomorrow, I can send a comprehensive list of the projects we have coming up, but I wanted to send you the most immediate one first.
· Ellie, age 11 from Salinas
