2026 will be a pivotal year for Planet X consciousness, but what does that mean?
The answer begins with the denial of Planet X, a modern form of inattentional blindness. A cognitive-science label for “people miss what’s right in front of them.”
Having posted hundreds of two-sun-in-the-sky observations from around the world and seen how people react to them, we have concluded that widespread Planet X denial is a modern manifestation of the ancient “invisible ships” myth.
The gist of this ancient myth was that some Native peoples could look directly at Columbus’s European ships just offshore and not see them because such things were outside their experience. Therefore, if this is Planet X denial inattentional blindness, how do we overcome it?
We will overcome Planet X denial through Planet X consciousness by bringing avoided facts and feelings into awareness in a tolerable, step-by-step way, so they can respond without reflexively blocking reality.
Unfortunately, what is coming this year will not be ideal, and it will be a jarring, complex process. Most likely, it will begin with a deadly impact event that the media cannot avoid or dismiss. Then, some people will start asking, “What is the meaning of all this, and what must I do?”
