Hello Folks,

YouTube.com, and by extension the YouTube API, will be in read-only
mode on Tuesday, September 20 starting at 5:00pm PDT. This should last
for approximately 4 to 6 hours.

YouTube API calls that create or update metadata or videos will fail
during this period of time. As a best practice, we recommend making
sure your code gracefully handles service errors on POST/PUT/DELETE
operations:

The read-only downtime mentioned below has been rescheduled for
Tuesday, October 4, starting at 5:00pm PDT and lasting for
approximately 4 to 6 hours.

There will be no read-only downtime on September 20.
